RE: Propane Leak?

Hi: A propane leak can be very dangerous. I had one this spring and could smell the stuff inside the coach. I left the coach and opened the door and then headed to the local RV dealer to have it checked out. After the testing the conclusion was that the stove was the problem and this was fixed. I have been one a couple of trip since this and so far no more problems. Jim2007

RE: grill or no grill

Hi Fleck: I have a trailer that has a side mount grill on it and I have used it many times. The grill has not caused damage to the outside of my fiberglass trailer. Enjoy your camper and your grill. Happy Camping. Jim2007

RE: Diesel fuel stops

Hi: I use the truck lane if there is not a RV lane. I usually go inside and ask to have the pump turned on. After fueling I go back in to pay the bill. Jim2007

Diesel fuel shortage?

Hi All: We are planning a trip from Colorado to Washington state in June. Will we have a problem finding diesel fuel? We plan to travel through Wy, MT, ID and Washington. Cost per gallon? Thanks for the comments. Jim2007

RE: Anyone cancelling trips due to gas prices?

Hi: We plan a trip to the NW which will take us from NE Colorado to Wy, MT, ID and WA and back to Colorado. The cost of fuel is a killer but at my age I really need to just do the trip. Both my wife and I have our health now and who knows how long we will be able and to travel. I think that we will just plan to park the trailer at a camp ground in Washington state and do some trips solo with the truck. Happy Camping! Jim2007

RE: Is it comfy on the road inside a slide-out RV?

Hi Jeff: We have a Forest River 5th wheel with one slide out for the dinning set and the sofa. When the slide is inside for travel we can use the table (dinning set), sofa, ref. and the toilet. This model of 5th wheel has the entry door a the rear of the unit. We can also use the bed room area. When the slide out is open there is just a lot more room. Happy Camping. Jim2007

RE: Are we coming to the "end" of a lifestyle??

Hi Rodney: IMO the price at the pump for diesel fuel is to high and I am looking at paying $4.50 for diesel for my summer travels. Here in Colorado our new governor wants to put 22 cents more per gal. on fuel and he also wants to increase the cost of the yearly license plates by $100. With all that said we still plan to travel this summer from a budget we have set aside and when the budget is gone we will just park it. Happy camping. Jim2007

RE: TIRES....

Hi Shooter47025: I cover the wheels with covers I got a camping World. I inflate the tires to about 55psi which is 5# over the pressure that I use when traveling. The unit is parked on a slight slope on gravel soil. I do not use boards under the wheels as I think the slope and the gravel give good drainage of water from the site. Happy camping. Jim2007

RE: Camp Near Washington D.c.

Hi All: I did not ask the question but DW and I have been considering a trip to DC area for the past couple of years. From the sounds of it Cherry Hills is the campground to stay at. How far in advance of arrival should reservations be made? Is Cherry Hills a hard place to locate? Thanks for the information. Jim2007

RE: How does your dealer handle warranty issues?

Hi: I had a bedroom window come loose on our trip to Washington state in the spring of 2006. Our Flagstaff was under warranty at the time. I used wire to hold the window in place until we got home two weeks later. At that time I call the Flagstaff warranty department and explained the window problem to them. They sent me to a local Flagstaff dealer and he call them and ordered a new window. When the window came in (took about a week) the dealer call me and I dropped off the trailer. When I picked up the trailer I signed my name a couple of time and was on my way. I was not charged for the work. Happy Camping Jim2007
